Kutztown Rotary Club held it's 85th annual Farmers' Night on Saturday, July 30th at the Kutztown Rod and Gun Club. The event honors area farmers with a dinner, entertainment, and invited speakers. Guests enjoyed listening to entertainment by Dave Kline during the happy hour and then feasted on delicious picnic-style food. Following dinner, the program began with a touching poem read by Rotary President Ellen Overcast about what it means to be a farmer.

Invited speakers included past-district governor Bob Hobaugh who gave some background on Rotary and the Kutztown Club's Farmers' Night tradition, Senator Judy Schwank who gave an update on bills being introduced to help the farming community, and Kutztown FFA Advisor Victoria Brown, who introduced some students and talked about the importance of supporting the future of farming.
Farmers and other guests enjoyed the evening.
