Meeting this Wednesday, March 25th, is
Paul Harris Awards Night
This Wednesday please join us as we celebrate the Kutztown Rotary Club People of Action Award.
 
 
Every community has unsung heroes—neighbors, teachers, volunteers, business owners, and organizations whose quiet dedication creates lasting change. Rotary District 7430 has invited every Rotary club in the district to shine a spotlight on these extraordinary individuals through the “Rotary Club’s People of Action Award”,
 
The Kutztown Rotary Club has chosen Sandy Green to receive this honor at a special celebration during our normal club meeting on Wednesday. February 18th. In addition, we will celebrate all Paul Harris awardees in our club. 
 
Meeting will be hybrid - both in person and via zoom. Please contact Melissa or Rose if you plan to join by zoom so we can tell you the timing. In-person attendees are invited to arrive at 6 to get a drink at the bar and socialize and then we will order dinner around 6:20.

WE are looking forward to seeing everyone at the Roaring 20's theme Centennial Dinner!

Our 100th Anniversary dinner party will be held on April 1, 2026,
at the Astor Event Center in Allentown. Guest speakers include TRF Trustee and
RI Director-Elect Marty Helman.
 
 
5:30-6:30 cocktail reception with cash bar
6:30-8:00 dinner, speaker program, Paul Harris Ceremony
8:30 - music, dancing, costume contest, selfies with props
1920's era costume or cocktail attire
 
 
Bring your checkbook or cash to buy tickets for our exciting Dinner for 2 Anywhere in the World drawing (up to $10,000). Credit card sales will not be accepted. Tickets will be $25 each or 5 for $100. Full rules will be available at the Centennial Dinner.

Volunteer opportunity!

Plan to come out and help us clean up the Kutztown Pollinator Garden on April 11 to celebrate the Rotary Day of Service 2026.

This past week for the
Kutztown Rotary Club
Wednesday, March 18th, was our monthly club assembly where we discussed club business, upcoming events, and service projects.
 
On Sunday, March 22nd, Kutztown Rotary sponsored the Kutztown Kitchen event at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kutztown.
Thank you to all of the volunteers that came out to help prepare and serve a meal of our famous Irish Stew to Kutztown community members. A special shout out to our master cook Mike Collins. We served nearly 80 meals for either eat in or take out and volunteers got some tasty leftovers to take home.

February is Peacebuilding & Conflict Prevention
A Rotary Peace Pole will be coming to our community as well as a peace poster contest for students in the Kutztown and Brandywine school districts! Look for an unveiling ceremony coming soon!

March is Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene 

We are partnering with Help a Girl Out USA in a collection drive throughout February to be sorted and donated in March. See details above.

April is Environmental
We have been collecting plastic since last summer and will be placing benches in both the Kutztown and Topton locations this coming year.
Although the NexTrex recycling program has changed, we are going to continue to collect. Please email or text your picture and the weight to Melissa Kirk or Laura McBride to get it recorded at NexTrex.
