There are 2 meetings for Centennial planning next week:
Tuesday, Aug 27 at 6:15, join Rose to brainstorm on the Community Day event - no need to join the committee for this brainstorming session. Rose would just like to get feedback from lots of members. Please email Rose (rotaryrose7430@gmail.com) if you are interested.
Tuesday, Aug 27 at 7:00 is the service subcommittee meeting. An invite was sent to all who signed up for the Service subcommittee, but please feel free to contact Melissa Kirk (melissakrotary@gmail.com) if you are interested and are not already on the committee.
Reminder: Centennial subcommittees are asked to meet in August and give reports at or prior to the next main committee meeting planned for September 24. Please let Melissa Kirk know if you would like your committee meeting announced in the weekly bulletin and added to the club calendar.
Note - Change in venue: The exchange student picnic on Wednesday, September 18 will now be held at the Kutztown Community Park in the lower pavilion by the tennis courts. Sign up using this link.
Club members are responsible for meetings throughout the year. Some meetings each month are assigned to a club member and that member is responsible for providing the program for that night (and the invocation). Please tell the club secretary (Melissa Kirk) who/what your programming will be as early as you can, but no later than 6 weeks before your date. If you cannot provide a program for your assigned date, please switch with someone let Melissa know as soon as possible. The current meeting list will be updated regularly and can be found at this link.
On deck for October are: Janet Chladni (Oct 9th) and Ralph Capristo (Oct 23rd).
Wednesday, August 14, was the TOK volunteer dinner at the Market Cafe.
Thank you to all of the volunteers that came out to join us. We would like to do a special shout out and thank you to members of the Chopper foundation for coming out to the dinner and for sharing a bit about their organization. Thank you!
And, of course, a big thank you to the TOK chair, Kurt Rohrbach for sharing some interesting information about the Rotary Club and the TOK event.
