Race to Zero Event, Saturday October 18
Join the Rotary District 7430 "Race to Zero - Let's End Polio." This is a family-friendly event with a chip-timed 5k Run, a 5k Walk, and a 1-mile Fun Run/Walk. The race begins at Simmons Elementary School in Horsham and runs along the Horsham Powerline Trail. Follow the link below for more details and to register.

Volunteer opportunity!
Please follow this link to sign up for items you want to bring to the club assembly meeting in the Kutztown Tavern Club Room on November 12 to create Thanksgiving holiday boxes for Friend, Inc. We are aiming to create 12 Thanksgiving boxes for area families in need and are providing suggested items on the list, along with a few blank rows for additional items people want to donate.

Kutztown Rotary meeting last week,
Club Assembly on Wednesday October 8.
Thank you to all who came out for the October club assembly meeting. Some updates included the need to push sales for our November 1 bingo fundraising event for the centennial, the discussion on the NexTrex bench for which we have just met our goal (the idea is to put it by the peace pole hopefully in Bowers park in Mertztown), and the organization of our holiday box charity event for Friend, Inc. We also voted on the TOK budget and shared stories and some pictures from our trip to NYC to take Luna to see Shawn Mendes. Please follow this link to take a peek at the pictures.

Kutztown Rotary Club will celebrate a 100-year anniversary in
April of 2026 and we are celebrating the whole year of 2026!
Our tentative timeline is shown here:
 
 
NexTrex recycling program -
Keep up the great work!
We have reached our first goal!
 
But keep on collecting - we are doing a second bench as well. Just continue to send pictures of your drop off and let us know the weight.
 
 Please email or text your picture and the weight to Melissa Kirk or Laura McBride to get it recorded at NexTrex to count towards our 1000 lbs for the bench. If you are unable to drop off the plastic yourself, please bring it to a meeting.
