Last Wednesday, June 1, we had our
last club assembly under President Rose.
At the club assembly last week, along with normal club business of budgets and expense approvals, the following items were discussed/presented:
- Reminder that we are taking another month to allow club members to explore accountant options (questions to ask: do they have experience working with non-profits, which services do they provide for non-profits, what is their general cost)
- We plan to volunteer to help set up and tear down the PAWS project this summer - look for updates soon
- Baby bundles drive event for our July centennial service project (Maternal and Child Health)
- We will be kicking off the event with a raffle for donations at TOK (see flyer above)
- We were hoping to do a drive at local grocery stores, but they are not being cooperative.
- We will be doing a drive through the summer along with (hopefully) a movie at the strand
- We are hoping to schedule a visit to Friend at the end of August to get a tour and deliver the donations.
- Kutztown Day is August 2nd - we need quite a few volunteers and a sign-up sheet will be circulated soon
- Fall Fest - please put the date of September 19th on your calendar to help volunteer at Kutztown Fall Fest on Main
