Meeting this week
Meeting this Wednesday, September 18 is the Youth Exchange picnic.
 
Join us at the Kutztown Community Park (the pavilion by the tennis courts) to welcome the new exchange student, Leander, from Germany.
 
We will meet at 5:30 and plan to eat at 6:00. Please follow this link for the sign-up sheet for attendance and food list (also pasted below).

LAST CALL to sign up for the exchange student picnic!
Note - Change in venue: The exchange student picnic on Wednesday, September 18 will now be held at the Kutztown Community Park in the lower pavilion by the tennis courts. Sign up using this link.

Join us for a potato harvest to feed the hungry on September 29!
“The Rotary Club of Kutztown and Friends” will harvest potatoes for The Potato Project on September 29, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center, 22 Luckenbill Road, Kutztown, Pa 19530. This is a service project to provide potatoes for the food-insecure in a multi-county area. We will provide hotdogs, French fries and beverage. Please bring gloves.

Race to Zero 2024 - register under the Kutztown Rotary Club team!
Registration is open for the Race to Zero event in Horsham on October 13. This is an annual fundraising to help in Rotary's effort to eradicate polio. We have opened a team for you to join, so when you register, please click the "join a team" button and look for "Kutztown Rotary Club". Follow this link to register.

 Yellow House dinner social event 
Please sign up here for the Yellow House dinner social event on October 15. We will do our best to reserve a room in the back and will order off the menu like we did last year. It was a memorable event and a lovely dinner.

Friend Thanksgiving Boxes and Halloween Party
On October 30 we will have our annual Halloween Costume party and this year we will also be packing Thanskgiving food boxes for Friend, Inc. Please follow this link to sign up for food items to donate for the boxes.

Fall Fundraiser for the Centennial Celebrations
A designer purse BINGO is being planned for Sunday, November 3, to start off our Centennial Celebration Fundraising Campaign. A flyer will be sent out as an email following this bulletin -please help us advertise the event!

Centennial subcommittee reminder
Reminder: Centennial subcommittees are asked to give reports at or prior to the next main committee meeting planned for September 24. Please let Melissa Kirk know if you would like your committee meeting announced in the weekly bulletin and added to the club calendar.
