Meeting this Wednesday, October 2, will be at the Kutztown Tavern Club Room where we will celebrate the first Student of the Month event for this year.
Each month the Kutztown Rotary Club recognizes one outstanding student each from Kutztown Area High School and Brandywine Heights Area High School. These students are selected by their school administrators and are often picked for significant improvement or overcoming challenges, accomplishments in academics, school participation, and community contributions. These students never fail to impress Rotarians with their positive impact on our community. Dinner for the student, two parents, and one school administrator will be paid for by the club - additional family and representatives from the school are always welcome.
Meet at 6:00 to get a drink and socialize. We order dinner at 6:20, followed by invocation and club news. Program starts around 7:15.

Meeting last Wednesday, September 25 was a mixer at the Kutztown Tavern Club Room.
We met with members of the Optimist Club and Lions Club, and listened to details about those 2 clubs and thought about ways we can work together on projects to bring positive changes in our community. We also heard from a prospective new member, Shawn Kramer, who told us about the good work of the Kutztown HOBO group.
Sadly, we forgot to take pictures of the event, but shown here is a picture of Rotary member Bob Hobaugh with Lions Club representative Jim Schlegel and Optimist Club representative Andy Schlegel. The link below will take you to the calendar event for the mixer, which has links to websites for the Optimist club and Lions club.
