Club President Marie DeFilipps will give an overview of the Kutztown Rotary Club and Foundation President Florita Hobaugh will distribute checks to the organizations awarded gifts for 2024. A representative from each will be invited to give an overview of their organization. Pictured here are the recipients who attended the dinner in 2023.

Last week's meeting

Last Wednesday, November 6th, members of the Kutztown Rotary Club celebrated the first Student of the Month ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year. One student from each of Kutztown Area High School and Brandywine Heights Area High School is selected by school administrators each month throughout the school year for this award based collectively on academic achievement, school participation, and community contributions. Honored for October (and shown here) was David Neuenscwander for Kutztown. Although we did not have a student for Brandywine Heights, there will be 2 for the December meeting.

David addressed the club members at the Student of the Month Ceremony where he demonstrated qualities of an exemplary student. The ceremony normally occurs during the Kutztown Rotary meeting on the first Wednesday of the month at the Kutztown Tavern, where the weekly meetings for the club generally take place.
