Last Wednesday, April 2, members of the Kutztown Rotary Club celebrated the Student of the Month ceremony. One student from each of Kutztown Area High School and Brandywine Heights Area High School is selected by school administrators each month throughout the school year for this award based collectively on academic achievement, school participation, and community contributions. Pictures below show Susanna and Lilia, both students from Kutztown who were celebrated for March and for April. The student from Brandywine was unable to attend and will join in a ceremony later in the year.
Both Susanna and Lilia addressed the club members at the Ceremony where they demonstrated qualities of exemplary students. They entertained questions from the club members showed off their talents. The ceremony normally occurs during the Kutztown Rotary meeting on the first Wednesday of the month at the Kutztown Tavern, where the weekly meetings for the club generally take place.
