Meeting this week
Meeting this Wednesday, December 4, will be at the Kutztown Tavern Club Room where we will celebrate the December Student of the Month event.
Each month the Kutztown Rotary Club recognizes one outstanding student each from Kutztown Area High School and Brandywine Heights Area High School. These students are selected by their school administrators and are often picked for significant improvement or overcoming challenges, accomplishments in academics, school participation, and community contributions. These students never fail to impress Rotarians with their positive impact on our community. Dinner for the student, two parents, and one school administrator will be paid for by the club - additional family and representatives from the school are always welcome.
Meet at 6:00 to get a drink and socialize. We order dinner at 6:20, followed by invocation and club news. Program starts around 7:15.
Meeting will be hybrid - live and via zoom. There will be a board meeting at 5:30 which will use the same zoom link.
St Nick of Bethlehem is playing next weekend at the Strand. Movie Club will be there for the Sunday 5:30 showing and afterwards will hop on down to Ozgoods for dinner. Follow this link for movie details.
If you did not already get tickets at small business Saturday event on Nov 30, they will be available at Christmas at the Fairgrounds (Dec 7 and 8) and at the door, as available.

Club and Foundation Director and Executive Nominations
Our club meeting for electing the club and foundation board members is one month away! On December 18, 2024, we will have our club holiday party and annual vote. We will be electing members of the club and foundation boards for the
2025-2026 Rotary year. Below are the current 2024-2025 board members.

The Area 3/4 holiday party will be held on December 11 at the Moselem Springs Country Club. More clubs are invited this year, and we are limited to 80 participants, so RSVP and submit the $55 per person fee early. More details can be found on the calendar or the sign-up sheet.
Club members are responsible for meetings throughout the year. Some meetings each month are assigned to a club member and that member is responsible for providing the program for that night (and the invocation). Please tell the club secretary (Melissa Kirk) who/what your programming will be as early as you can, but no later than 6 weeks before your date. If you cannot provide a program for your assigned date, please switch with someone and let Melissa know as soon as possible. At our last meeting, which was Wednesday, November 20, we played Jeopardy! at the Kutztown Tavern Club Room.
We split up into 2 teams to play an onscreen version of Jeopardy, edited just for our club. Except for one or 2 mistakes from our well-meaning judge, the game went well, and everyone had lots of fun. We also celebrated President Marie's birthday with a cake and a song. Thank you to Marie for providing prizes for the game.
