Meeting this Wednesday, March 26 will be at the Kutztown Tavern Club Room and will be sponsored by member Ellen Overcast.
 
The program will be on Horses Healing Heroes - equine therapy for veterans. 
 
 
This organization is located at the Boots and Saddle Riding Club in Allentown. Teh program focuses on personal growth within the individual. Participants improve their basic communication skills and demonstrate reduced feelings of stress and anxiety brought about by increased contact with the horses.

Next Service opportunity: Kutztown Kitchen on March 23, 2025.
We will be preparing Irish Stew again and will manage the meal as we did last year by shopping for the ingredients and then cooking the meal at the church.

Artist Studio Social Activity Wednesday, March 26, 6:00 pm

We will be visiting Karen Palcho is an artist and teacher in Oley offering a variety of classes including fermenting, foraging and making your own botanicals.  People attending should bring a beverage (wine, beer or nonalcoholic) and snack to share. Please follow this link to sign up.

Come out to support! Kutztown Rotary is sponsoring a movie at the Strand over the last weekend in March!

We will have a table set up in the lobby to talk to people about the Kutztown Rotary Club. The table will be there whenever we can get members to man it. Shows are

Friday (3/28) - 7 p.m.
Saturday (3/29) - 4 p.m. & 7 p.m.
Sunday (3/30) - 2 p.m.

Reminder on Club meeting responsibilities!
Please remember to tell the club secretary (Melissa Kirk) who/what your programming will be for your assigned meeting night no later than 6 weeks before your date. If you cannot provide a program for your assigned date, please switch with someone and let Melissa know as soon as possible. The current meeting list can be found at this link.

Meeting last Wednesday, March 12 was Liesel Gross, the CEO of Lehigh County Authority.
 
Lehigh County Authority is a Public, Non-Profit Water and Wastewater Utility, committed to providing unparalleled service to residents and businesses in all our service areas.
 
Liesel gave a very interesting talk about the whole process around the water we drink and use every day.

Centennial Celebration Corner

Kutztown Rotary Club will celebrate a 100-year anniversary in April of 2026 and so is celebrating the whole year of 2026! 
 
To kick things off, we are starting our
Centennial Service Campaign - Celebrating Rotary's 7 Areas of Focus (April, Environmental Service) with a NexTrex challenge recycling program. Follow this link to see what type of plastics to start saving. We will update with drop off instructions soon!
