On Wednesday, September 9, 2026, the Kutztown Rotary Club welcomed our District Governor, Jeremiah Sensinig, who spoke to our club about the exciting happenings both in Rotary in general and our district specifically.
Visit the District 7430 web site to learn more and mark you calendars for the District meeting coming up on April 16-18, 2027, basically in our own backyard
at the Double Tree Hotel in Reading.

CENTENNIAL SERVICE PROJECTS FOR THE
ROTARY SEVEN AREAS OF FOCUS!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
February is Peacebuilding & Conflict Prevention
A Rotary Peace Pole has been placed in our community!
Please visit our Centennial website page here to read the story!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

March is Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene

We partnered with Help a Girl Out USA in a collection drive throughout February which was sorted and donated in March.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
April is Environmental
We have been collecting plastic since last summer and have so far gotten one bench which was placed at the Boyer Park along with our Peace Pole on September 2.
Please email or text your picture and the weight to Melissa Kirk or Laura McBride to get it recorded at NexTrex.
Although we had 4 entries in the Q2 drawing we did not win a prize in the drawing. But we did recycle a lot of plastic and did a bit of good for the environment!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
July is Maternal and Child Health
To celebrate this area of focus, the Kutztown Rotary Club held a baby bundles drive in the months of July and August and, along with the Strand Theater, sponsored a double feature movie for the community to view a movie in exchange for a baby item donation.

Members delivered the Baby Bundles donation items to Friend, Inc and got a tour of the fabulous new facility. We enjoyed a pizza dinner from Tommy Boys and got to hear all about the renovations (current and future) and the amazing big plans Friend has to help the community.

Please follow this link to see more pictures of the Baby Bundles Drive.
