The Kutztown Rotary and Friends will harvest potatoes for The Potato Project on September 29, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center, 22 Luckenbill Road, Kutztown, Pa 19530. This is a service project to provide potatoes for the food-insecure in a multi-county area. We will provide hotdogs, French fries and beverage. Please bring gloves. Date: September 29, 2024 Join the Kutztown Rotary and friends for a hands-on service project to support The Potato Project! On September 29th, we'll be harvesting potatoes to help provide food for those in need across multiple counties. This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community and enjoy some fresh air and camaraderie. We'll be serving hotdogs, French fries, and beverages to keep everyone fueled for the afternoon. Don't forget to bring your gloves, as we’ll be getting our hands dirty for a good cause! Why Attend?

These students are selected by their school administrators and are often picked for significant improvement or overcoming challenges, accomplishments in academics, school participation, and community contributions. These students never fail to impress Rotarians with their positive impact on our community. Dinner for the student, two parents, and one school administrator will be paid for by the club - additional family and representatives from the school are always welcome.
Meet at 6:00 to get a drink and socialize. We order dinner at 6:20, followed by invocation and club news. Program starts around 7:15.

Roy is in charge of Semper Fi Fest which supports an organization called Semper Fi & America’s Fund. The goal of the organization is to get US armed service members and veterans together to support combat wounded, critically ill and other injured service members and veterans along with their family members. Please come out and see the part of Rotary we like best - giving money to area organizations to spread good work in the community. Club President Marie DeFilipps will give an overview of the Kutztown Rotary Club and Foundation President Florita Hobaugh will distribute checks to the organizations awarded gifts for 2024. A representative from each will be invited to give an overview of their organization.
The meeting will be in person and virtual. For in person, please plan to arrive at 6:00 to get a drink and mingle. We will plan to order dinner at 6:20 and will start the zoom portion around 7:00 - please see the weekly bulletin for the zoom link. There will be a board meeting at 5:30, using the same zoom link. |
