Thank you to Kathy Haggert for a very informative visit on September 7th to tell us about Merakey.
Merakey is a not-for-profit developmental, behavioral health, and education provider offering a variety of services to individuals and communities across the country. Their programs support individuals with all kinds of needs, from people with addiction or intellectual and physical disabilities, to homeless veterans and children in need of homes.
Kathy joined us to specifically speak about the foster care services in our area. There are over 13.500 children placed in foster care services in PA every year and there is a critical need for families to provide a safe home for these children.
