Stories
Spring Picnic
On Wednesday, April 24, the members of the Kutztown Rotary Club invited the Fleetwood Club members to join them for a picnic at Longswamp Township Park. Although it was a little chilly, we all had a lovely time socializing. The highlight of the evening was a presentation by our exchange student from Brazil, Maria. It was so much fun to see all of the things she experienced during her time with us.
Seed Cutting
Kutztown Rotary members were among 14 Rotarians from 7 clubs and 15 other volunteers cutting potatoes for seed planting for the Potato Project. In all, 65 bags of potatoes were cut to plant potatoes for food-insecure families spanning a 5-county region. IHartHarvest began a campaign to feed the hungry in our area in 2008 and the mission just keeps growing every year. Even more fun is picking potatoes during the harvest which begins in August. Come visit us to learn how you can participate in fun community service projects like this.

When Not at Work - Members at Play
Along with serving the community, members of the Kutztown Rotary Club like to be social. We do a social hour meeting every third Wednesday of the month, we have movie club meetings at area venues, and enjoy many other social activities.

In April we went to Saucony Creek in Kutztown for 2 separate events - we celebrated April birthdays there for a movie club night and also went there to participate in Trivia Night for a social hour meeting. Two of the club groups won first and second prize for the night! See pictures below for both events.

Come join our meetings to find out how we do good and have fun!
