This week's member spotlight is Dave Miller. Below is a bio supplied by Dave: I grew up in Huff's Church, which is a small village (and I do mean small) in Berks County. I moved to Kutztown in 1992 and have been here ever since. Prior to that I lived in Topton, Longswamp, and Panama City Beach, FL. In addition to living in Kutztown, I have also worked for our public school district for the last several years. I think one of the most interesting moments of my job occurred just recently when a parent called to tell me that the bus had not yet picked up her student. After investigating I learned that the bus was running very late because it got stuck behind several horse and buggies. Only in Kutztown! I joined the Rotary a few years ago after several of my friends encouraged me to do so. I thought it would be a good way to give back to the community and to help out others who are not as fortunate as I am. It has been a great pleasure to be among people who care so much about their community and their neighbors. So far I have participated in serving meals at a local church and of course A Taste of Kutztown. I look forward to helping out more in the future. |
