Rotary club members volunteered as ushers for the Flag Day celebration at the Kutztown Community Park Bandshell. The lovely weather allowed many community members to come out to enjoy the celebration. Club members were happy to assist by handing out flags and programs before the show and collecting donations after the show. Join us to get involved with your community!

This week's member spotlight is Cheryl Sharayko. Below is some info on Cheryl:

 

Cheryl Sharayko is a relatively new club member and it is very fitting that her member profile should happen during fellowship month. Cheryl became a member through movie club, which is a purely social offshoot of the club. Through movie group and club fellowship, Cheryl became an active member of the club. Her drive to join Rotary was to help others and to participate in service activities and club social activities. Cheryl grew up in Boyertown with the maiden name of Ziegler - a good Pennsylvania Dutch moniker. Cheryl was familiar with the good work of Rotary throughout her childhood, as her dad was a Rotarian. Cheryl currently lives on a small farm outside of Huffs Church and is an award winning Realtor with both ReMax and Caldwell Banker. Outside of Rotary, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren. Cheryl is also very fond of dogs - she has a boxer and recently adopted a relative's dog that needed a home.
