Congratulations to Ellen from the Kutztown Rotary Club members. We are proud of you!
Students of the Month for March 2022
Each month the Kutztown Rotary Club recognizes one outstanding student each from Kutztown Area High School and Brandywine Heights High School. These students are selected by their school administrators and are often picked for significant improvement or overcoming challenges, accomplishments in academics, school participation, and community contributions. These students never fail to impress Rotarians with their positive impact on our community.

Pictured with Kutztown Club President, Tom Kulp, are the student of the month from Kutztown Area High School, Elena Sewall (top) and from Brandywine Heights High School Nolan Miller (bottom). Congratulations to both of you! Please look for an upcoming article in the BerksMont News.

Exchange Student Visit from Franka Hicksch
At the meeting this past week, members of the Kutztown Rotary Club gave a warm welcome to Franka Hicksch and Max von Harling. Franka was our 2017-2018 Rotary exchange student from Halle, Germany. Thank you both for sharing your stories and experiences with us and moreover, thank you for the delicious chocolate you brought for us,
Working to shine at the District Conference
Mark your calendar and sign up to have fun and help out at the District Conference!

The Tri-District Conference is coming up on April 22-24 at the Hershey Lodge, comprising Districts 7430, 7450, and 7475. With our own Bob Hobaugh as the 7430 District Governor, the Kutztown Club is putting in an effort to shine at the event. We are looking for members to help organize and man the hospitality suite and the house of inspiration table or volunteer to man the registration table or be an ambassador for the event. Along with many conference events of inspirational speakers, break out meetings, and a Saturday night dance party, there are lots of fun Hershey-themed activities in which to partake.

Check out the agenda here:

Join in the fun and contact Tom or Melissa to sign up to help out at some point over the weekend.

Member spotlight - Joni McPike
This week's member spotlight is Joni McPike. Below is a bio supplied by Joni:

I was born & raised in Sacramento, CA, and moved to PA in 1994 with husband Keith & 3 daughters: April, Kristen, & Emily. I am the Secretary-Treasurer for Longswamp Township, Treasurer for the Taste of Kutztown Rotary club fundraiser, and Treasurer for both the Kutztown Rotary Club & Rotary Foundation. I was inspired to became a member of the Kutztown Rotary Club by my dearest friend Renee Surfrinko, who I miss everyday.
